Comments are the soul of a website.
Up til now, we have resisted opening comments because it can represent a lot of additional work dealing with moderation and anti-spam. So, let’s see how it goes.
Initially, we will hold all comments for moderation.
We appreciate that this is not ideal, but the UK has a large and growing body of anti-free speech law – under the influence of activist libel jurisprudence, cultural Marxism and Islamist ideological entryism, among other things – and given the ambiguities surrounding the law on online publishing, on occasion, we will be less permissive in approving content than we might otherwise like to be. It’s nothing personal!
We have a zero tolerance approach to (i) comments that contain or (ii) links to the following: adult content, pornography, child sexual exploitation, harassment, gratuitous violence, scams, sales of illegal and certain types of regulated goods and services, doxxing, threats of doxxing, election manipulation and interference, manipulation and interference in ongoing lawsuits, and trademark violations.
If you believe that a comment might be in violation of the law, write to us via the contact details at the bottom of the page.
